1945: THE FIRST FRANCHINI SHIPYARD

Franchini and sailing: a story that began after the First World War, when the progenitor of the Franchini family, Michele said ‘Guido’, after years of experience in the most famous naval companies in the area, built in Riccione Harbour its first boatyard.

The production was initially set on workboats, but already in 1953 Michele Franchini devoted himself to the models ‘one-off’ of wooden pleasure boats.

This led to small masterpieces of mahogany and teak: dinghy, launches, snipe, that Michele Franchini realized with the skilled craftsmanship, learned in many years of work as a carpenter, passed on to succeeding generations.
